Details have emerged on why Chelsea co-owner, Behdad Eghbali visits the players’ dressing room after every match he attends.

The American businessman took charge of the west London club alongside Todd Boehly and their consortium after the exit of Roman Abramovich.

According to Metro UK, Eghbali has visited the dressing room after every Chelsea game he has attended this season.

Unfortunately for him, he has only been able to celebrate one victory, with the Blues enduring a woeful run of form that has seen them drop points in five other fixtures.

The Chelsea chief's latest visit to the dressing room was on September 24, shortly after their 1-0 embarrassing defeat to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

At the time, Eghbali was confronted by an irate group of Blues supporters who demanded answers from him in the wake of their disastrous run of results.

Why Egbali visits Chelsea's dressing room
It has now been revealed that Eghbali's visits to the Chelsea dressing room after every match he attends are not for him to deliver any speeches.

According to The Telegraph, the business mogul makes the trip to ‘shake hands’ with players and coaching staff and to also 'wish individuals well'.

This comes at a time when it was recently claimed Eghbali also regularly enters the office of Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino. However, the Argentine coach has maintained that he has no problem with the frequent visits.

"I like when the owners come," Pochettino said. "In all my career as a coach, at Espanyol, Southampton, Tottenham, and Paris Saint-Germain before and after. I think it is good that the owner came to the dressing room."
