WATCH: Nnadozie's brilliant double save to deny Canada from the penalty spot

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie starred as she pulled off some remarkable saves to keep the scorelines at 0-0 in Nigeria's opening game against Canada at the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Coach Randy Waldrum's side were firm and resolute in defence as they held the Olympic champions at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.

Francisca Ordega was adjudged to have fouled Christine Sinclair in the box in the 50th minute after a VAR review.

Nnadozie, who was the captain on the day denied Sinclair from 12 yards to deny the Canadian skipper from becoming the oldest player to score in the competition.

The Super Falcons will take on co-hosts Australia in their next game.
