The Desert Foxes secured a draw in the match against the Pharaohs after Islam Slimani scored late in injury time.
Egypt, who were down to ten men after just 27 minutes, took the lead on the hour mark through Hamdi Fathi.

In a feisty contested game at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, it was Egypt who came close early in the game with Mohamed Salah seeing his effort hit the post.
Riyad Mahrez was also a menace on the right side for Algeria, causing troubles for Mohamed Hany, who was sent off in the first-half, as reported by supersport.com.
Both teams are preparing ahead of next month's 2026 FFA World Cup qualifiers with Egypt facing Djibouti and Sierra Leone while Algeria engages Somalia and Angola.
Both Algeria and Egypt are favourites to win the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast next year, having excelled at previous competitions.
