Victor Osimhen: Pundit tips Napoli striker for Premier League switch in January

Nigerian international Victor Osimhen is entering the final 18 months of his contract with Napoli, and a pundit has tipped him to move to Chelsea Football Club in January.

The striker has recently been the subject of transfer rumours as he has yet to sign a contract extension with the Italian outfit.

Several European clubs are jostling for the striker’s signature, and he has been heavily linked with English club Chelsea and Arsenal.

Speaking on ESPN, football pundit Janusz Michallik, suggested that the 24-year-old forward would likely head to the Stamford Bridge.

According to him, Chelsea are desperately in need of a proven striker, and Osimhen would help in solving the Blues’ long-standing issue.

Michallik said:

“This is no longer a rumour, this is a fact. I’m saying it. Chelsea need a new striker, Osimhen has been in the rumour mill before.
“It won’t be cheap and who knows if De Laurentis will let him go, but I just think this is going to happen. A last-ditch effort from Chelsea because who else are they going to get?”

Meanwhile, the striker will not leave Napoli for cheap, and Michallik added that it is a rich club like Chelsea that have the money to land the forward.

He believes Arsenal are also interested in the forward but admitted that the Gunners might not be ready to cough up such an amount to price him away from Naples.
