Manchester United fans have weighed in on the Victor Osimhen drama with his club Napoli by asking for his signature.

Osimhen, through his agent Roberto Calenda , has threatened legal action against Napoli over a video that was posted on the club’s Tiktok page.

The video appeared to mock Osimhen for his penalty miss against Bologna over the weekend, but it has since been deleted.

"We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor," Calenda said in a statement on X. "What happened today on Napoli's official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable."

In the goalless draw against Bologna, a disgruntled Osimhen was seen questioning his manager Rudi Garcia when he was taken off in the 86th minute, as per BBC.

A player of Osimhen’s calibre feuding with his parent club is likely to trigger the interest of other big clubs in Europe. According to TalkSport, Chelsea could be among the clubs to move in for the Nigerian in January, as Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly made it clear the club desperately need a striker.

Another club the 24-year-old could join is Manchester United, who have been tracking him for months.

Osimhen, who signed for Napoli for a club-record 81.3m euros in the summer of 2020, would be a welcome sight at United, and fans were quick to weigh in on his situation on social media:

Here are some reactions from fans:

@Sal_Gado1 said: "Please bring Osimhen to Man United I beg you man."

@UTDTrey added: "Chelsea this, Real Madrid that… I speak on behalf of Osimhen and every Nigerian that we want to see him at Man United."

@CSSZNi said: "Man United do the right thing and sign Osimhen."

@United_Eva said: "I believe I speak on behalf of Osimhen, every Nigerian, every real football fan, and all Manchester United fans when I say "We want to see him at Man United."
