Bayern Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has reacted after his trademark goal celebration gained popularity on social media.
Boniface has become an instant hit at Leverkusen after joining the Bundesliga side from Belgian side Royale Union SG in the summer.
His goalscoring prowess, pace, dribbling, skill and eye for pass have made him the fans' favourite at the Bay Arena.
The 23-year-old won the Bundesliga Player of the Month for four consecutive months after his move to Germany.
The Super Eagles striker has netted 16 goals and 8 assists in 23 games for Xabi Alonso's side and has become quite famous among football fanatics.
Aside from his performance on the pitch, his trademark goal celebration has also become quite popular.
Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger mimicked Boniface's celebration after scoring in Germany's friendly against Mexico in October 2023.
In the latest development, RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons has become the latest player to also copy the Nigerian striker's celebration at the Netherlands national team training session.
The Paris Saint-Germain loanee was captured with Boniface's teammate at Leverkusen, Jeremie Frimpong performing the celebration together.
