The Super Eagles of Nigeria staged a remarkable comeback against current World Champions Argentina in an international friendly in November 2017.

The three-time African champions bounced back from two goals down to beat La Albiceleste 4-2 in Krasnodar, Russia.

Inspired by Alex Iwobi, Gernot Rohr's side proved to be too hot for the South Americans who were without their talisman Lionel Messi.

Former Sevilla man Ever Banega scored first for Argentina in the 26th minute before Sergio Aguero made it two with a sensational goal in the 36th minute.

Kelechi Iheanacho reduced the deficit on the stroke of halftime with a superb left foot freekick which ended up at the back of the net.

Alex Iwobi levelled the score shortly after the restart with an interesting comeback in the 45th minute.

Brian Idowu’s who was making his debut for the Super Eagles made it 3-2 for Nigeria before Alex Iwobi extended the lead to give Nigeria a two-goal buffer.
