Uzoho hails idol De Gea

Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has praised Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea on his 500th appearance for Manchester United.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper attained this milestone of appearances against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday, October 16 as the two clubs played a goalless draw at Old Trafford.

De Gea, 31, joined the Red Devils from Athletico Madrid in 2011.

The Spanish international was presented with an engraved plate before kick-off by former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson under whom he made his first United appearance back in 2011.

As messages flood in on social media to celebrate the United goalie, Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho joined in to celebrate De Gea branding him as a 'legend'

Uzoho, who is a United fan had a night to savour for a lifetime when he pulled off a remarkable performance at Old Trafford against Erik Ten Haag's side in the Europa League last Thursday, October 13.
