Utd to include Lingard in attempt to sign Maddison

Manchester United are reportedly willing to let go of Jesse Lingard and an expected £45million cash in order to secure the signing of Leicester City midfielder, James Madison.

United have reportedly listed Madison as a top transfer target in an attempt to rebuild their squad.

Lingard, 27, may have to take the fall should United proceed with the supposed deal.

DailyMail revealed that United are prepared to almost TRIPLE Maddison's current £55,000-a-week wage and put the former Coventry star on a whopping £150,000-a-week salary.

The fruition of this deal may depend on some basic facts such as United's ability to make the top 4, the players decision to leave the King Power stadium and most importantly the Foxes decision to let go of one of their most influential player as they attempt to make it to the Champions League.

Foxes manager, Brendan Rogers has earlier revealed that 'nobody will leave here that we don't want to' thereby making the deal less likely to happen.

Leicester currently sit second on the table with 45 points while Ole's United struggle at 5th with 31 points (5 behind 4th place Chelsea) as the second half of the season starts.
