Umar fired blank in Almeria’s home draw against Alcorcon

Super Eagles striker, Sadiq Umar couldn't add to his goal tally as his club side, Almeria played out a goalless draw with Alcorcon at the Mediterranean Games Stadium on Monday.

Umar played the entire duration of the match and was yellow-carded in the 90th minute of the encounter.

The forward had two chances in the first six minutes, but he failed to grabbed them by firing over the cross bar on both occasions, Brila.net reports.

Almeria thought they had won the game when Juan Villar found the back of net in the 85th minute, but VAR reviewed the play and ended up signaling the forward’s offside.

UD Almería had to settle for a point that takes them to four points off Spanish Segunda B leaders Real Mallorca who are on 60 points.
