Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare starred as Ajax beat Swiss club Sion 4-2 in the first leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League playoff tie on Thursday, August 20.
The 25-year-old came off the bench to register a goal and an assist as the Eredivisie side secured a crucial victory away from home.
The Nigerian international was introduced into the game in the 72nd minute, replacing Marcos Leonardo.
Arokodare made an instant impact, scoring Ajax's third goal of the game — his first official goal for the club — two minutes after coming on.
The former Genk striker later set up Davy Klaassen for the club's fourth goal with three minutes left on the clock.
The Wolves loanee will hope to put up another impressive performance when Ajax host Sion in the second leg at the Johan Cruyff Arena next Thursday, August 27.
Arokodare has been in impressive form since joining Ajax from Wolves on a season-long loan this summer.
