UCL: Spalletti reveals Osimhen's return date

Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti has revealed that Victor Osimhen will return to action next week against AC Milan in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash.

The 24-year-old didn't feature in Napoli's 1-0 defeat to Milan at the San Siro on Wednesday, April 12 after sustaining a muscle injury while on international duty with the Super Eagles.

Ismael Bennacer's 40th-minute strike gave Stefano Pioli's side a one goal advantage heading into the return fixture.

The leading Serie A top scorer, Osimhen has missed Napoli's last three games against AC Milan and Lecce in both the Serie A and UCL.

Speaking in a post-match interview, Spalletti disclosed to reporters that the club's talisman, Osimhen will be available for the second leg at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

“Victor Osimhen will 100 percent be available for the return leg at Maradona on Tuesday. He will be there,” the former Inter boss noted.

The runaway Serie A leaders will take on the Rossoneri in the second leg on April 18.
