Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has said he is “very happy” beating perennial rivals, Real Madrid in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final tie.

City pummelled Los Blancos 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night, to advance to their second consecutive final.

A first-half brace from Bernardo Silva and two second-half goals from Manuel Akanji and Julián Alvarez gave Guardiola’s side the much-needed win.

Speaking shortly after the game, the Spanish tactician said he was even more happy because he is a fan of Barcelona, the La Liga rivals of Real Madrid.

He said, “I’m a cule and I’m from Barcelona, of course I’m very happy.”

With the victory, Man City are now in two finals; they are also in the FA Cup final where they will face city rivals, Manchester United.

In addition, the Cityzens are currently top of the Premier League table and are just a win away from being crowned champions.

City will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul, next month.
