Football fans all had the same thing to say about Arsenal after the Champions League draw on Thursday, August 31.

The draw came with its fair share of shockers, group favourites and the classic group death, with Arsenal landing a rather favourable group.

The Gunners were pooled in Group B, alongside PSV Eindhoven, last season’s Europa League winners Sevilla and French underdogs RC Lens.

One of the toughest groups unfortunately landed on Newcastle United, whose last Champions League campaign was in 2003.

The Magpies, after their impressive 2022/23 campaign, have been drawn against Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Manchester United, who are in Group A, will face Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen from Denmark and Galatasaray, as cited on UEFA.com.

Defending champions Manchester City are up against familiar foes RB Leipzig as well as Crvena Zvezda and Swiss giants Young Boys.

“Topping the group with ease”

As soon as the final team in Arsenal’s Group B was announced, fans took to social media with varying reactions.

For Gunners fans, many felt their team, which finished second in the Premier League last season, had little excuse not to top the group and hopefully get a favourable draw in the last 16.

More ambitious fans declared their team were all out favourites to win the competition.

Here are some of the reactions:

@UTDTrey joked: "They created a Europa League group to make Arsenal comfortable,"

@WelBeast added: "Arsenal are just 13 games away from being the Champions League champions."
