UCL: Chelsea hit by major injury blow ahead of PSG clash

Chelsea have been dealt a massive injury blow ahead of their all-important UEFA Champions League second-leg clash against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Blues will take on the reigning European champions at Stamford Bridge, looking to overturn a 5–2 deficit from the first leg.

Ahead of the crucial encounter, head coach Liam Rosenior has disclosed that captain Reece James has sustained a hamstring injury and has been ruled out of the clash on Tuesday night.

The English international, according to Rosenior, suffered the injury during the Blues’ 1–0 loss to Newcastle United last weekend.

“Reece felt something in his hamstring at the end of Chelsea’s game with Newcastle United,” Rosenior said.

“That is disappointing for us, and we don’t know the full extent of it just yet, but it rules him out of tomorrow’s game against PSG.”
