The test matches between the African Cup of Nations-bound Flying Eagles and their Zambian counterparts have been moved forward.

The Nigeria Football Federation and Football Association of Zambia reached an agreement to reschedule the games to allow the teams to sort out some logistics issues.

The Zambians are having difficulty traveling as it became important to allow more time for everything to be sorted.

The matches were initially scheduled for January 27 and 30 respectively, and according to the Director of Media and Communications of the NFF, Ademola Olajire, the games will now be played on February 3 and 6 in Abuja.

“The Football Association of Zambia and their Nigerian counterparts have rescheduled their two friendly matches involving their U-20 sides to February 3 and 6 respectively,” FAZ also confirmed in a statement.

The doubleheader friendly games are part of preparations for the forthcoming CAF U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are drawn in Group A with hosts Egypt, Mozambique and Senegal and are also expected to go on tour of Morocco.
