Nigeria's U-17 Women's team will take on the United States youth team at the DY Patil Stadium on Friday, October 21 for a place in the last four at the ongoing FIFA Women's World Cup in India.

The Flamingos secured a quarterfinal place following their 2-1 victory against Chile in their final Group B fixture on Monday, October 17.

Goals from stand-in captain Blessing Emmanuel and Bisola Mosaku sealed a comfortable win for Coach Olowoore Bankole's side.

Prior to the victory against Chile, the Flamingos had thrashed New Zealand by 4-0 in their second group game after suffering a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Germany in their group opener.

In Group A, the United States thumped North African side Morocco 4-0 to finish on top of the group with 7 points with a superior goal difference of +12 goals ahead of Brazil who managed the same points but with an inferior goal difference of +6.
