Nigeria's U-17 Women's team will take on Columbia on Wednesday, October 26 (today) in Goa for a place in the grand finale at the ongoing FIFA Women's World Cup in India.

The Flamingos secured a semi-final berth after knocking out tournament favourites, USA 4-3 on penalty shootouts after both teams played a one-all stalemate after 90 minutes of regulation time.

Nigerian defender Edafe put Flamingos ahead from the spot in the 27th minute after a VAR check.

Amalia Villarreal equalized for the US in the 40th minute through a well-taken strike that bounced off a Nigerian defender.

Columbia on the other hand beat Tanzania by 3-0 in the quarterfinals to set up a meeting with the Flamingos in the semis.
