Transfer: Pochettino plans to sell seven Chelsea stars in January

Premier League giants Chelsea have earmarked seven players for sale in the January transfer window as per reports.

Club manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to shake up the team in his bit to transform the squad into title contenders from next year.

The Blues lost 2-0 against Everton last weekend in what was their second consecutive Premier League loss following their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in midweek.

Chelsea have now accumulated seven defeats in their opening 16 Premier League matches this season putting Mauricio Pochettino under enormous pressure.

The Blues now sit 12th on the league log below clubs like Fulham and Brentford.

TEAMtalk reports that Chelsea plans to offload players like Noni Madueke, Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja, Marc Cucurella, Axel Disasi, Ian Maatsen, and Malo Gusto.

After consultation with the club directors, the former PSG boss believes the performances of these stars are not up to scratch.

Chelsea plans to replace them with new signings should they move on to different clubs in the next window.
