Transfer: Oma Akatugba details why Osimhen should leave Napoli this summer

Foreign-based Nigerian sports journalist, Oma Akatugba has advised Victor Osimhen to secure a move away from Napoli this summer.

Osimhen, 24, is on the radar of several clubs in Europe following his explosive form with the Naples-based club last season.

The Super Eagles striker netted 31 goals in 39 appearances across all competitions, guiding Napoli to its first Scudetto title in 33 years.

The Nigerian international was voted the best striker in Serie A after notching 26 league goals in 29 appearances to become the first African to win the Capocannoniere award.

Notable among the clubs reportedly interested in Osimhen are Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea.

At 24, Oma Akatugba, who is a good friend of the Super Eagles star believes it is time for Osimhen to say goodbye to the city of Naples.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with TVC, the Europe-based sports journalist explained that the ex-Lille forward should leave the club now that the applause is high.

He believes it is time for Osimhen to earn more money with a much-improved deal at any of the top clubs in Europe chasing after his signature.

He also pointed out that a potential dip in form next season will affect his market value which will be a problem for the player and the club.
