Napoli chief Aurelio de Laurentiis has named French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain as the only club that can afford the transfer of talisman Victor Osimhen, Fabrizio Romano reports.

The Capocannoniere holder has been a major subject of transfer talks following his remarkable form with the Serie A champions last season.

Osimhen, 24, netted 26 Serie A goals in 29 appearances to guide the Naples-based club to its first Scudetto title in 33 years.

He bagged a total of 31 goals in 39 appearances for Luciano Spalletti's side.

He also surpassed George Weah's record of 46 Serie A goals to become the African player with the most Serie A goals.

The Super Eagles striker is currently being courted by some of the elite clubs in Europe.

The ex-Lille forward has widely been linked with a move to PSG in recent times as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe who is likely to join Real Madrid this summer.

Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich have all reportedly been linked with a move for the Nigerian international.

Despite his firm belief in the chances of Osimhen staying at Napoli, club president Aurelio de Laurentiis believes PSG is the only club with the financial muscle to afford the transfer of his club's most-priced asset.

“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain”.

“If Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to send in a bid around €200m… we wait and we see what happens”.

“I personally think that Victor will stay here”, he told Mediaset.
