Transfer: Chelsea rekindle interest in top Barcelona defender

Chelsea have reportedly renewed their interest in Barcelona star Joules Kounde, as per Spanish outlet Sport.

The Blues missed out on signing the Frenchman in 2022 after they were beaten to his signature by Spanish giants.

Despite spending almost £1billion over the last few transfer windows, the London club are still battling with consistency which means the need to spend again in the summer.

Kounde is a versatile defender who can play as centre back and in the right back role.

According to reports, Manchester United are also keen on the former Sevilla man who is valued at around £51m as per Transfermarkt

The report further indicate that Barcelona are willing to sell Kounde but the 25-year-old in unwilling to leave the club.
