Totti explains why Napoli is lucky this season

AS Roma legend Francesco Totti has shared his thoughts on Napoli's remarkable campaign this season.

The Napoli-based club are 15 points away from clinching the Scudetto title as they currently lead the Serie A table with 19 points ahead of Lazio in second place.

“I knew they were a good team with a great coach, a well-made combination,” the 2006 World Cup winner was quoted on Sky Sports Italia.

“They did their best and were lucky not to have a team behind that could keep up.

“When I was playing there was Juventus or Inter who, if you had 20 wins, had 19. That wasn’t the case this year.”

Napoli will take on champions AC Milan at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in their next Serie A clash on Sunday, April 2.
