Tottenham vs Chelsea: Pochettino admits he is open to returning to Spurs

Mauricio Pochettino risks the wrath of Chelsea fans after admitting he would be open to returning to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Argentine tactician spent more than five years with the north Londoners between 2014 to 2019, when he was sacked.

Pochettino went on to have a short stint at Paris Saint-Germain before making a sensational return to the Premier League this summer with Chelsea.

According to Metro UK, the 51-year-old is set for an emotional reunion with Spurs for the first time since his departure in 2019 ahead of Chelsea's meeting with their London rivals.

Tottenham are scheduled to host the Blues on Monday night in the Premier League.

Poch open to returning to Tottenham

Speaking ahead of the cracker, Pochettino admitted he still has an emotional attachment with the north Londoners.

So much so that he refused to rule out a possible return to the club at some point in his managerial career.

"Why not?" Pochettino posed while reflecting on the chances of him returning to Tottenham.

"Hopefully, I can stay here until I die, for 20-25 years but you never know what is going to happen tomorrow. I am 51 and thinking more about enjoying today, not looking too much into the future, but you never know," he added as quoted by The Mirror.
