Tottenham player, Harry Wick has expressed how English Premier League players feel about a return of football action amid coronavirus pandemic.

The EPL chiefs are awaiting a speech from Prime Minister Boris Johnson on plans to reopen activities in the UK after a lockdown.

In reaction, Harry Wick stated that the idea of playing games behind closed doors when the game resumes will be very strange to players.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Yeah I mean it’s a possibility, of course that could happen and the thought of it is probably not something that every Premier League player wants to do because it’s strange situation not having the fans there.

“You know that’s what makes football, that’s what makes the atmosphere, that’s what everybody plays for and lives for, it’s the fans.

“When you can’t hear the chanting, you can’t hear the crowd, it’s going to be a strange situation.

“We had it last year when we played Croatia away, it was a very strange situation to be involved in.

“It’s not something that I like, I know there’s a lot of players who feel the same way, it’s not something that everyone wants to do, but if it’s the necessary action that has to be done, it’s what’s got to be done.”

He added: "If we go back next month, unfortunately there will be a casualty.

"We're going to have to manage it and if we're determined to get back to football, just take it on the chin.

"There will be times where we're taking two strides forward and we're taking three back, that's how I see it going forward.

"It's a very difficult time for the decision makers.”
