Torino's Aina ruled out till end of January

Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina will miss the first five games in 2023 due to his long injury layoff.

Aina scored his first goal for Torino in their clash against Udinese on October 23, however, he suffered an injury during the same tie.

The 26-year-old was later diagnosed with a myotendinous lesion in his left hamstring, and he was expected to return before the end of the year.

However, news portal, Sosfanta has now reported that Aina will not return in time for the first game of the new year against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.

The Super Eagles star is expected to make his return on the 28th of January when Torino play Empoli. As such, Aina will miss the games against Verona, Salernitana, AC Milan, Spezia, and Fiorentina, soccernet.ng.

Aina’s contract expires at the end of the season. His latest injury setback effectively rules out any possibility that he will leave the club during the winter transfer window.
