Top Chelsea star confirms he will be leaving club

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has announced that he will be leaving the Premier League outfit at the end of the season.

The 39-year-old joined the Blues as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2020.

The Brazilian star has racked up 151 appearances for the club, winning the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

In an emotional video posted on the club's website, the former AC Milan star expressed his gratitude to the fans for their love and support during his four seasons spell at the London club.


“I think in everything I did here over the four years, I always gave my all.

“But, unfortunately, everything has a start, a middle and an end. That doesn’t mean that this is a definitive end.

“I hope to leave the door open so that in the near future I can return, albeit in another role here. But…it’s an indescribable love. I can only say thank you.”
