Kylian Mbappe’s time at Paris Saint-Germain looks like it is coming to an end after six years with the Ligue 1 giants, with both parties reaching an apparent impasse on his contract extension.

The 24-year-old forward has been PSG’s best player in recent seasons, becoming the club’s all-time goal-scorer with 212 goals in just 260 matches for the Parisians.

However, Mbappe has refused to sign a contract extension with the French giants and has informed the club of his intentions to leave when his current deal expires in 2024.

Real Madrid have been hot on the heels of the 2022 World Cup Golden Boot winner, with PSG reportedly giving him an ultimatum to either sign a contract extension or be sold this summer.

With the possibility of selling Mbappe this summer, Sports Brief, alongside GOAL, takes a look at the top candidates capable of replacing the 24-year-old forward at Parc des Princes.

5. Goncalo Ramos

PSG has been associated with Goncalo Ramos for several months, while the club's sporting director, Luis Campos, has been a fan of the Portuguese forward for about a year.

The forward scored 19 goals for Benfica in the Portuguese league and another seven in the Champions League.

Ramos' impressive performances for his country at the World Cup imply the 22-year-old is a player ready for the limelight.

4. Harry Kane

Harry Kane is one of the top options to replace Mbappe at the Parc des Princes next season owing to his prolific goal-scoring records in England.

Tottenham clearly does not want to sell Kane. However, the English captain is yet to say if he would sign a new deal to continue at the club beyond the 2023/24 season.

PSG wants a striker who is creative and can score goals and has the funds to do so - therefore, Kane is their guy.

3. Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United could find themselves priced out of a deal to sign Rasmus Hojlund this summer, especially if PSG are willing to pay Atalanta's supposed €100 million valuation of the striker.

The Dane scored 9 Serie A goals for his club last season and is strong and quick, while his finishing continues to improve.

With more chances coming his way, Hojlund is certain to score more goals, especially with the likes of Neymar Junior and Marco Asensio on his side if he decides to join PSG.

2. Victor Osimhen

PSG won't have any qualms about splashing the cash for Victor Osimhen this summer to lead their attack for the 2023/24 season.

The Nigerian is arguably the best out-and-out No. 9 in Europe behind Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, and a quality like that upfront could be the beginning of the Parisians' success in the Champions League.

1. Randal Kolo Muani

PSG has been interested in Randal Kolo Muani for some months, anticipating that providing Mbappe with a striking partner will assure his long-term commitment to the club.

The Frenchman has established himself as a regular for his national team, in addition to scoring 15 goals and contributing 11 assists last season for Eintracht Frankfurt to further boast of his capabilities to lead the attack.

With PSG fans asking for more Les Bleus influence in their squad, a move for Kolo Muani will be ideal for the Ligue 1 champions.
