Todd Boehly: Chelsea owner reveals why fans are angry

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has offered some insight into why fans of the club are unhappy.

According to the American businessman, the Blues have high expectations which leads to frustration when those expectations are not being met.

Speaking to Forbes on the Chelsea project, the Blues owner said:

“The good news is people care so much. And the bad news is people care so much!” he said.

“That leads to times when they’re frustrated with the team and the owners…

“I get that, but we just have to continue to stay the course.”

The Blues have struggled to hit their stride since the American took over from Roman Abramovich in May 2022.

Despite their spending spree on player transfers, the club still find themselves in the bottom half of the Premier League table beneath clubs Wolves and Brighton.

Mauricio Pochettino's side were held to a 2-2 draw by Burnley at the Stamford Bridge in the Premier League last Saturday.
