'The goals will come' – Victor Boniface reveals what Xabi Alonso told him after Bayern Munich draw

Nigerian sensation, Victor Boniface has revealed what manager Xabi Alonso after the game against Bayern Munich.

Boniface who has been in fine form since he joined the German side failed to score in the 2-2 draw against the Bundesliga champions.

“Don’t worry, the goals will come,” Boniface quoted Alonso during a Q&A video shared by UEFA.

Boniface’s performance subsequently reflected Alonso’s words of encouragement, as the Nigerian striker went on to score three goals in two matches – a brace against Heidenheim and another against Hacken.

With six goals in six domestic league matches, the 22-year-old has adapted swiftly under Alonso’s guidance.

Having previously earned recognition as the player of the month and rookie award recipient when he joined the club, Boniface is well on his way to achieving even more remarkable feats.
