Terem Moffi's interesting stats in the French Ligue 1

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi is one of the hottest properties in European football this season.

The striker recently completed a switch to Nice from rivals FC Lorient after making solid impression in the ongoing season.

The African arrived in the French championship in 2020 and in two and a half seasons at FC Lorient, Moffi has registered plenty of goals for Lorient.

He’s the most prolific attacker behind Kévin Gameiro in the history of FC Lorient with 34 goals in 87 games.

And since his debut in Ligue 1, he is in 7th place in the scorers’ rankings, just behind his new partner, Laborde (34 in 37).

The 23-year-old also became the 3rd Nigerian with the most goal in the French Ligue 1 behind John Utaka (59) and Victor Ikpeba (55).

And in the 2022/23 season, Terem Moffi is the 2nd scorer for the Super Eagles among the 5 major leagues in Europe. Only Victor Osimhen has more (14 with Napoli).

This season he’s scored three doubles (5 in his career + 1 hat-trick) and scored against PSG, AS Monaco and Olympique Marseille.

With his 12 goals, Terem Moffi is the second leading scorer in the league, just one behind Kylian Mbappé (PSG) who has (13).
