Nigeria's senior women's national team, Super Falcons have arrived in Kobe, Japan ahead of their clash with Japan.

The Super Falcons will take on the Japanese senior women's team in a high-profile friendly as they prepare for next year's FIFA World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.

The Falcons qualified as one of Africa's four representatives at next year's competition after reaching the semis at this year's African Women's Cup of Nations which was hosted by Morocco in July.

In a tweeted statement, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), reported that the team arrived on Monday, October 3, and they have been joined by two Portuguese-based players, Peace Efih and Christiana Ucheibe.

“Our delegation from Nigeria, today arrived in the Japanese town of Kobe, where they take on 2011 world champions Japan at the Noevir Stadium on 6th October. They’ve also been joined by Portugal based duo of Peace Efih and Christiana Ucheibe,” the NFF said in a tweet.

The Super Falcons engaged the United States Women's National Team (USWNT) in a two-legged friendly which ended in a 2-2 draw and a 4-0 win in favour of the World Champions.
