Nigeria's Super Falcons have lost 2-0 to Japan in the international friendly played at the Noevir Stadium in Kobe, Japan.

Two second-half goals from Mina Tanaka sealed a comfortable victory for the former world champions.

It was the fifth straight game without a win for coach Waldrum's side whose last win came against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in the quarterfinals of the 2022 African Women's Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Prior to Japan's friendly, the Falcons had lost 2-1 and 4-0 to the world champions, the United States Women's National Team in a two-legged friendly encounter last month.
