Super Eagles slip in latest FIFA ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped in the latest FIFA rankings for men's national teams.

The 2023 AFCON finalists dropped two places in the rankings released on Thursday, April 4.

The three-time African champions dropped to 30th from their previously held 28th position in the world.

Nigeria however maintained their place in Africa as the third best ranked team on the continent behind Senegal and Morocco.

Egypt and recently crowned African champions, Cote d'Ivoire completed the top five best ranked teams on the continent.

World champions Argentina maintained their number spot as the best ranked team globally.
