Super Eagles legend Nwankwo Kanu assumes supervisory role at Enyimba

Super Eagles legend Nwankwo Kanu has been appointed as the new supervisor of NPFL champions Enyimba Football Club.

This was disclosed in a statement released by Abia State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu.

The Arsenal legend takes over the leadership of the club from Felix Anyansi-Agwu.

Kanu is expected to lead the club to greener pastures both locally and on the African continent.

His immediate task is to guide the club to retain the NPFL title they won last season.

Enyimba will also compete in the CAF Champions League next season and Kanu will task to ensure that the two-time winners produce a decent performance.

With nine NPFL, two CAF Champions League, two CAF Super Cup and four Federation Cup titles, Enyimba is widely regarded as the most successful club in Nigeria.
