Super Eagles coach Peseiro makes big statement on Jose Mourinho

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro had some good words to say about AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho who he calls his 'very good friend' in a recent interview.

The former Sporting Lisbon manager lavished praises on the 'Special One' for his successful coaching career describing him as the shining light for other Portuguese coaches.

The 62-year-old also revealed that he began his coaching career together with the former Chelsea boss.

Whereas Mourinho has chalked a lot of success in his coaching career, the same cannot be said of his Portuguese compatriot Jose Peseiro who has had a nomadic coaching career.

Mourinho, 59, has also managed some of the most prestigious clubs in world football including FC Porto, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspurs.

The Special One has also won the Champions League, Europa League, and the Europa Conference League making him the only manager to win all three of UEFA's club competitions.

He has also won the Serie A with Inter, La Liga with Real Madrid, Premier League with Chelsea.

“I was with Mourinho, and I studied him … Or he studied me! We are friends, very good friends. And he has shown that he puts on great performances,” Peseiro said as per Tuttomercatoweb.

“Over the years he has shown his enthusiasm and motivation. He opened many doors everywhere for us Portuguese coaches.

According to former NFF chief Amaju Pinnick Jose Peseiro was recommended by Jose Mourinho for the Super Eagles.

The Portuguese gaffer has so far managed 2 wins out of 6 matches in charge as Super Eagles coach.
