Stop fake news — Osimhen’s agent debunks rumours of possible switch

Roberto Calenda, agent of Victor Osimhen has debunked rife rumors that the Napoli striker is interested in a switch away from the club.

Calenda described the reports as "fake news" urging the public to disregard them.

Osimhen who was key to Napoli's success in the 2022/2023 season has failed to live up to expectations this season and has made the headlines for more off-the-field incidents than on-field heroics in the new season. This has led to suggestions that he could leave Italy.

With a deal yet to be concluded, a journalist recently published supposed insider information that Osimhen was looking to change agents to facilitate a new contract or a transfer.

DAZN journalist Orazio Accomando tweeted that Osimhen was strongly considering switching from Calenda to a French agent, but the Nigerian’s current agent has debunked the rumor.

Calenda responded to the tweet about Osimhen possibly seeking new representation, saying, “I was ‘seriously thinking’ of replying to this person but then I read that he has been writing fake news about Osimhen for months… Once upon a time, there was news!”
