Simy Nwankwo was on target in Crotone’s 2-1 home defeat to Udinese at the Stadio Ezio Scida on Saturday.

Nwankwo netted the goal from the penalty spot in the 68th minute to restore parity for his team after Rodrigo De Paul had given the visitors the lead.

The goal took Simy Nwankwo’s tally for the season to 17 in 31 league appearances for relegation-threatened Crotone this season.

The 28-year-old also increased his number of goals to 61 for Crotone in 145 league matches since arriving from Portuguese football.

Meanwhile, De Paul netted the winning goal for the visitors with 14 minutes left to play, before been sent off in the added time.

The defeat left Onuachu and his teammates at bottom of the table with 15 points from 31 matches.
