Sevilla boss, Garcia Pimienta has backed Kelechi Iheanacho to prove himself at the club following his summer move.

The former Leicester City man has yet to his peak this season since his move to Rojiblancos.

Since joining the Spanish giants, he has only made one start for Sevilla as they hover in the relegation zone.

Ahead of his side’s clash with Real Valladolid at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Tuesday (today) Pimienta praised Iheanacho and claimed he has the quality to do well at the club.

“Everyone, whoever plays up front tomorrow has to do well. Kelechi is a proven player, Pimienta told the club’s official website.

“The other day he had a difficult game because he came on without warming up. Just like the rest, he has to take a step forward because he has the quality to do it at Sevilla.”
