Samuel Chukwueze tagged Milan's most disappointing player by Italian journalist

It's been a torrid couple of months of adaptation for Nigeria's Samuel Chukwueze in Serie A.

Since completing his €20 million summer transfer move from Villarreal, the Super Eagles attacker has found it difficult to integrate into the set-up of Italian powerhouse, AC Milan.

The 24-year-old, who racked up 13 goals and 11 assists in his final 52 appearances with the Yellow Submarines, has only been able to muster two goals and one assist in his 21 appearances with Milan.

Notably, the pacy winger is yet to get off the mark in Serie A, and this lacklustre form has subsequently seen his game time dwindle.

Ahead of Milan's crucial UEFA Europa League last tie against Slavia Praha, an Italian football expert has slammed the Nigerian forward.

Football expert slams Chukwueze

In an interview reported by Sky Sports Italia, football expert, Peppe Di Stefano, discussed Milan's performance and the underwhelming display of Chukwueze.

"Slavia Prague is a beatable team, but Milan must manage the situation well because there are four games before the break," he stated.

"Pioli has regained many players and is no longer in an emergency, boasting a strong squad in terms of numbers. However, he lacks great alternatives at right wing, as Chukwueze has been the disappointment of the season.

"With only 10 starts and few minutes, he has not shown the qualities he exhibited at Villarreal."

Di Stefano's comments seem to echo those of coach Pioli, who criticised the Nigerian earlier in February for his lacklustre form.

Chukwueze, whose talent remains undeniable, will be eager to rise above the criticism and demonstrate to the fans the quality many expected when he signed with the club.
