The past weekend was remarkable for some Super Eagles stars in Europe. In this piece, we take a look at the Nigerian players who found the back of the net for their respective European clubs.

Moses Simon

The Nigerian winger was on target as Nantes beat Brest 4-1 in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday, October 16.

The 27-year-old converted a 35th-minute spot kick to draw his side level after Brest had taken the lead in the 18th minute.


Cyriel Dessers

After netting his first against Napoli a week earlier, Cyriel Dessers was on target again for Cremonese on Sunday, October 16 as his side played a 2-2 draw with Spezia.

Cremonese are still chasing their first win after 10 games.

Victor Osimhen

The Napoli hitman came off the bench in the second half to help Luciano Spalletti's men record a hard-fought 3-2 win against Bologna in the Serie A.

The 23-year-old's 69th-minute strike snatched an important three points at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium as Napoli maintained their position at the top of the Serie A with 26 points after 10 games.

Ademola Lookman

Lookman was on target again as Atalanta beat Sassuolo 2-1 in the Serie A at the Gewiss Stadium on Saturday, October 15.

The 25-year-old is enjoying his football in the Italian Serie A. Lookman has so far managed 4 goals and 3 assists in the Serie A this season.

Henry Onyekeru

Henry Onyekeru also scored as Adana Demirspor secured a comfortable 4-1 win away at Kasimpasa in the Turkish League.

Another Nigerian international, Babajide David also found the back of the net in the same game.
