A clip of old comments made by Sir Alex Ferguson has come to light after Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals for Al-Nassr on Thursday evening.

The Portuguese superstar cemented his status as the greatest finisher to have graced football, following his super hat-trick against Al-Wehda in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo has been on fire since last week, with the 38-year-old scoring five goals in just two appearances so far for his new Riyadh-based club.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner grabbed a last-minute goal for his Saudi Arabia club against Al-Fateh last week, which seems to have helped him rediscover the scoring prowess which made him so feared and respected.

Ronaldo notched his first super hat-trick (scoring four goals in a single game) on Saudi soil, a day after Lionel Messi struggled in Paris Saint-Germain's defeat to Marseille in the Coupe de France.

Messi, who is yet to score a hat-trick since he joined the French club in 2021, was blasted by PSG supporters for their elimination from the competition, after a 2-1 defeat to their arch-rivals on Wednesday night.

According to ex-Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson, Messi will struggle to reproduce his Barcelona form at another club but has backed his former player, Ronaldo to score at any level.

The legendary manager made this comment back in 2015 to snooker legend, John Parrott, saying the Portuguese star is capable of scoring goals for any team in the world.

"People say who is the best player in the world? And plenty of people quite rightly say Messi - you can't dispute that opinion," Ferguson said via @Dannn777.

"But Ronaldo could play for Millwall, Queens Park Rangers, anyone, Doncaster Rovers, and score a hat-trick in a game. I'm not sure Messi could do it."
