Ronaldo reveals what he does to keep a good shape at 34

Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed how he was able to transform from being skinny to having the great physique he now has.

Asides his goalscoring record, Ronaldo, 34, is known for his physique which sometimes sees him model for top fashion brands.

But things weren't always so for the Juventus star player who revealed that to get to where he is, he had to eat well and train a lot.

"The key is to take care of your body, train, do your recovery and eat properly," Ronaldo said.

"Although sometimes I do eat pizza with my son otherwise it would be boring. I eat a high protein diet, with lots of wholegrain carbs, fruit and vegetables, and avoid sugary food.

"Eat regularly. If you train regularly it’s important to keep energy levels high to fuel your body for better performance.

Ronaldo also revealed how he was body-shammed at Manchester United and how it made him hit the gym to work out.

"It’s true, I was skinny. I had no muscle. So I started sneaking out of the dormitory at night to go work out. I got bigger and faster," the Portuguese further said.
