Cristiano Ronaldo has explained why it will be difficult to rate Sir Alex Ferguson as the 'best manager ever' in the history of the sport.

Ronaldo, often considered one of the greatest footballers of all time, has had the privilege of being coached by some of the finest managers, including the legendary Manchester United boss.

Ronaldo's illustrious career, marked by numerous individual and team accolades, received a pivotal boost and guidance under Ferguson's mentorship, per the Guardian.

The astute Scotsman signed the Portuguese star from Sporting Lisbon in 2003 when he was a budding winger, ultimately shaping him into a global superstar.

Over six years under Ferguson's tutelage, the 38-year-old evolved into a worldwide phenomenon before transferring to Real Madrid, where he worked with the likes of Manuel Pellegrini and Jose Mourinho in his initial years.

Other coaches to work with Ronaldo
Subsequently, Ronaldo played under serial winner Carlo Ancelotti, former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, and in his final season in the Spanish capital, under Zinedine Zidane.

A move to Juventus after the 2018 FIFA World Cup saw him collaborating with Maximiliano Allegri, Maurizio Sarri, and later Andrea Pirlo, who transitioned into coaching after a successful playing career.

Ronaldo's return to Manchester United led him to work under club legend, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, with a reported near-move to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City before Ferguson's intervention.

Ronaldo's take on whether Fergie is the best

Currently, he is under the guidance of fellow Portuguese, Luis Castro at Al-Nassr as he approaches the conclusion of his illustrious playing career.

"It is unfair to say for the other coaches I played with, too," he answered, as quoted by Timeline CR7. "We have to consider that they are the best too."
