Ronaldo blasts VAR officials for disallowing his goal for Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly irked after the Video Assistant Referee ruled out his bullet-like header during Al-Nassr's Saudi Pro League clash with Al-Shabab.

The Portuguese veteran's scoring streak continued during the heated league tie with the captain opening the scoring with a goal just 13 minutes into the clash.

Ronaldo had expertly dispatched a spot kick, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to break the game's deadlock, according to Sportstar.

Five minutes later, he found the back of the net again, connecting with a Marcelo Brozovic corner kick to extend the home side's lead.

Ronaldo could have bagged a hat-trick before half-time but for the intervention of the Video Assistant Referee.

The 38-year-old thought he had doubled his side's lead in the 19th minute but his celebration was short-lived, with his effort being ruled out due to a foul.

Ronaldo seemed to have escaped his marker with a slight push before scoring the header and the VAR deemed his actions as excessive, resulting in the goal being disallowed.

Ronaldo's displeasure with the decision was evident, per a video on social media - he vocally expressed his frustration at the officials and used strong language to convey his disagreement, believing the call to be unjust.
