Ronaldinho has extended words of encouragement to Lionel Messi as the latter embarks on his new adventure with Inter Miami in the United States.

Messi turned down a lucrative deal in Saudi Arabia in favour of a move to Major League Soccer after an illustrious career in Europe, notably with PSG and FC Barcelona.

The Argentine superstar's official confirmation as an Inter Miami player was celebrated with a vibrant event at the DRV PNK Stadium on Sunday, July 16, where he was introduced to an enthusiastic crowd, BBC reports.

According to GOAL, the team's fortunes took a hit as they suffered their 14th defeat against St. Louis City in the ongoing MLS campaign, leaving them at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

As Messi prepares for his competitive debut against Cruz Azul on July 21, former Barcelona teammate Ronaldinho took to social media to send him a message of goodwill, writing, "Good luck in your new challenge, partner!! Always cheering for you."

In a related publication, Sports Brief reported that Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has broken his silence after Lionel Messi finally completed his move to the MLS side.

An elated Beckham has now described Messi's arrival as a dream come true.

It is understood that the Manchester United legend has a dream to cultivate top-tier soccer talent in the city, and the signing of the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner is a step closer to that realization.
