Napoli have opened talks with former Marseille coach Igor Tudor as a potential replacement for Rudi Garcia because of the turn of poor results.

Napoli surprisingly parted ways with Luciano Spalletti last season after he helped them to their first Scudetto in 33 years. The Italian boss stated that he was going on sabbatical, but there were talks that he did not feel like he was treated well by the club.

Nonetheless, Napoli employed Rudi Garcia as coach. However, the results have not exactly panned out as they would have wanted.

The Serie A champions have won just four of their opening eight Serie A games of the season. Their 3-1 loss to Fiorentina on Sunday made it their second loss of the season after they were beaten by Lazio before the last international break.

Also, Garcia does not seem to have a firm grip on the players, and Osimhen’s outburst two weeks ago when he was substituted in Napoli’s goalless draw at Genoa gives light to that.

The Serie A champions have not shown the type of free-flowing football they had last season.

Following Napoli’s loss to Fiorentina on Sunday, it is clear that Garcia is walking on a tightrope. According to Tutto Napoli, Napoli have opened talks with former Marseille coach Igor Tudor as a potential replacement.

If Napoli lose again, Garcia could be on his way out of Napoli, and Osimhen could have another coach. Tudor’s teams are always great in attack, and the change could eventually profit Osimhen.
