Reinier signs for Madrid

Teenage Brazillian sensation, Reinier has just signed for Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

The attacking midfielder would be joining Los Blancs on a six-and-a-half-year deal and the contract is to run until June 2026.

The 18-year old is expected to settle in with Real Madrid's second team, Castilla, the club’s second team who play in Spain's third tier.

Madrid will pay 30 million euros ($33.3m) as the midfielder's buy out clause from Flamengo, with 80% going to his former club and the remainder to his representatives and his family.

Reinier helped Flamengo win last year’s Brazilian league and Copa Libertadores double and has chosen Real Madrid despite reported interest from Barcelona and other leading European clubs.
