Real Madrid has been grappling with an incessant wave of injuries since the commencement of the season.

Last season, the La Liga powerhouse faced setbacks in their title pursuit due to a multitude of injuries, including those affecting former talisman Karim Benzema.

Unfortunately, this trend has persisted into the current season, with Thibaut Courtois and defender Eder Militao also succumbing to injuries.

According to reports from Diario AS, the treatment table has welcomed midfielder Dani Ceballos and Vinicius Jr. However, the injury garnering the most attention from the club's hierarchy is that of Turkish talent Arda Guler. The 18-year-old, formerly of Fenerbahce, has been unable to make his debut for Los Blancos, plagued by a series of Meniscus and thigh muscle injuries.

Initially set to debut against Rayo Vallecano, Guler was listed as an unused substitute, and it was subsequently revealed that he had suffered a relapse in his muscle injury.

The ongoing string of injuries appears to have infuriated the club's leadership, with the situation surrounding Guler serving as the tipping point. Consequently, Real Madrid has chosen to part ways with their head of medical affairs.

The ousted medical head, Dr. Niko Mihic, had overseen Guler's case. According to Marca, discrepancies arose between the Croatian doctor and other staff at the club regarding the proper management of Guler's injuries. The tangible results suggested that Mihic's approach was not optimal.

Before joining Real Madrid in 2017, Mihic had worked for the HM Group in Madrid and Montreal, where he directed the Illness Prevention Units. Additionally, he delivered university medicine lectures at San Pablo University and served as a Medical Assessor for Air France and KLM.
