Quique Setien reacts as Messi says Barcelona plays badly

Barcelona manager, Quique Setien has reacted to a comment by Lionel Messi that the club has now been playing well.

Shortly after their 2-1 loss to Osasuna, Messi revealed that the club played badly just as they've been doing since January.

The Argentine also revealed that they may end up not winning anything this season if they continue to play the same way.

Reacting to the comment from his side's captain, Setien said that he doesn't feel singled out.

“No, not at all,” Setien said.

“I think in certain moments we all say things that are interpreted badly. It’s the fruit of a moment of frustration.

“Some things we agree on and other things we don’t. [Messi] is right to say that if we play as badly as we have done in some games, we won’t win anything.

“But we have also played well in other games and, playing like that, we could win things. We have to be more consistent. If we manage to play as we did against Villarreal, we could win the Champions League.”
